She received her PhD in Earthquake Engineering from Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University, Istanbul, Turkey. She received her MSc in Structural Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey.
