Zehra Irem Turksezer

 

 

Zehra Irem Turksezer is a PhD Candidate at Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Civil Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and MSc degree in Civil Engineering for Risk Mitigation program. At the end of MSc, she won a traineeship position in European Commission’s Joint Research Center (JRC) to work on natural disaster impacts on critical infrastructures, specifically on power plants. Now, she is working on resilience management of cultural heritage structures. Her research interests include resilience management, disaster risk management, complex systems, and resilience modeling in the context of informed decision making.
