Maria Pina Limongelli
I am a Structural Engineer and PhD in Seismic Engineering, I am Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano, where I teach at Master courses on Seismic Constructions and PhD courses on Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and damage detection. My research activity is focused on Structural Health Monitoring. In this field I manly contributed to vibration-based damage detection, value of information from SHM for emergency management, and SHM Standardization. I have co-edited a book on Seismic SHM. I am involved in several national and international research projects on topics related to SHM and I have supervised several PhD students on topics related to my research activity. I am active with leading roles in several international committees and associations: WP3 Reporter in JCSS, co-convener of fib TG3.3, ISHMII Council member; consulting member of the ACI SHM group, member of the SHM guidelines group of UNI, vice-leader of the IABSE e-learning board. During my career I have been visiting researcher at UCSD (California, US), NTUA (Greece), IFFSTAR (France) and ENPC (France). Download my CV
